100 Years of Unison Exhibition

Explore Unison's history through stories and items from the community, and see its growth and key milestones over the past century with our interactive exhibition at the Faraday Museum of Technology.

Unison is celebrating its 100th anniversary, marking a century of service to Hawke's Bay and beyond. Founded on 19 June, 1924 as the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board, Unison has grown from a small local lines company into a global group of specialist electricity companies, owned by the power consumers of Hawke's Bay.

Get hands-on, see which parts of Hawke's Bay got connected first, try on Unison gear for a fun photo op, discover how household living and electricity use have changed over the years, and so much more!
