The Faraday Museum of Technology is run by a dedicated group of knowledgeable volunteers and therefore we are open only at certain times.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday: 9am-3pm*
*We will be closed on Friday 20 October for Hawke's Bay Anniversary.
The Faraday Museum is not open on Christmas Day, but is open on public holidays if they fall on our regular opening days.
Bags and Backpacks
The Museum reserves the right to inspect the bags of visitors. Tripods and bags over the dimensions of 40cm (L) x 15cm (w) x 35 (H) are prohibited in the galleries and must be checked into our secure lockup.
Children at the Museum
All children aged 13 and under must be accompanied and always supervised while inside the Museum.
