Volunteer at the Faraday!

The Faraday Museum is growing in popularity, which means we are in need of new volunteers to join our awesome crew! We have a range of different roles available and we can figure out which will be best fit for you!

We are run by an enthusiastic team of volunteers who all have a passion for history and technology. Our volunteers are of all ages, and bring us a broad range of professional and life skills. Some like to tinker and fix/ build things, others like to share their knowledge.

If you have an interest in museums, are outgoing and friendly, and looking for something to do in your spare time, we would like to hear from you! The upkeep of the collection is continuous, so we are always on the look-out for extra hands to help us.

Volunteer Roles

Visitor Hosts

Visitor Hosts

Our Visitor Hosts love chatting to people, and are there to help showcase our museum through their interaction with our visitors.

Tech Volunteers

Tech Volunteers

Our Tech Volunteers are similar to those on the Repair Shop TV programme. They have a specialized skillset, and are happy to get stuck in to help keep our interactive museum ticking. Other skillsets you may have are being able to design new and exciting interactive exhibition pieces or spaces.
